Support policy

StreetKit sponsorship policy

This policy explains what sponsorship supports, how public acknowledgements work, and what sponsorship does not automatically include. It is not a full legal terms of service, billing contract, SLA, or procurement document.

Purpose of sponsorship

Sponsorship helps keep the public StreetKit layer available, maintained, and understandable for developers, small teams, public-good projects, and privacy-sensitive NZ address form use cases.

Sponsorship is voluntary project support unless a separate written agreement defines a specific paid support scope.

What sponsorship supports

  • Website, address data, and product operating costs.
  • Index maintenance, including dataset refresh work, fixture checks, search-quality review, and release notes.
  • Documentation, including setup guides, data-source notes, privacy notes, and limitation notes.
  • Examples and integrations, including small framework, platform, CMS, and form examples where they are useful and maintainable.
  • Community support, including issue triage, reproducible bug reports, accessibility feedback, and practical implementation guidance.

What sponsorship does not automatically include

  • A service-level agreement or guaranteed uptime.
  • Priority support, unless separately agreed in writing.
  • A private index.
  • Hard quotas or reserved capacity.
  • Billing-grade access controls, usage dashboards, invoices, or account management.
  • Custom development, implementation work, integration work, or feature delivery.

StreetKit may discuss these topics separately, but they are not included by default in public sponsorship.

Sponsor display policy

Sponsor display is an acknowledgement of support. It is not an endorsement, certification, partnership claim, procurement guarantee, or service guarantee.

StreetKit may display sponsor names, logos, website links, tiers, and short descriptions only after manual review and sponsor consent. StreetKit may decline, edit, hide, or remove sponsor display entries that are inaccurate, confusing, misleading, harmful, or inconsistent with the project.

Exact payment amounts, billing details, private notes, internal support history, and sponsor contact details should not be published in public static content.

Logo and link policy

Sponsor logos and links may be displayed when:

  • The sponsor has consented to public acknowledgement.
  • StreetKit has permission to use the logo for sponsor acknowledgement.
  • The logo asset is suitable for the site and does not create a misleading impression of endorsement or certification.
  • The destination link has been reviewed and is appropriate for public display.

StreetKit may use a sponsor name without a logo if logo permission, asset quality, or link review is not complete. Sponsors may ask for their logo, link, or acknowledgement to be removed.

Content and moderation policy

Sponsor names, descriptions, links, and related public text must be concise, accurate, and suitable for a public developer-tool website.

  • Do not claim StreetKit endorsement, certification, guaranteed support, or guaranteed product outcomes.
  • Do not confuse sponsorship with NZ Post certification, address verification, postal delivery approval, or official government status.
  • Do not include offensive, discriminatory, misleading, illegal, spammy, or irrelevant content.
  • Do not include private customer data, real checkout records, secrets, payment details, or sensitive contact information.

Refunds and cancellations

Refund and cancellation processes are to be defined. No automated payment, refund, cancellation, billing, or account-management process is currently documented here.

Any future payment provider, refund rule, cancellation process, or sponsorship term should be documented before being presented as available.

Privacy

StreetKit should collect only sponsor details necessary for acknowledgement and contact, such as a public sponsor name, approved logo, approved website link, short public description, consent status, and an appropriate contact point.

StreetKit should not publish private sponsor contact information, exact payment amounts, billing records, internal notes, private support history, or unrelated personal data in public site content.

Sponsor, donor, and private-support data should not be combined with autocomplete query data.

Transparency and consent

StreetKit may publish sponsor names, logos, links, and short descriptions only with consent. Consent should be clear enough to confirm what public fields may be shown.

StreetKit should be transparent that public sponsor listings are acknowledgements of support, not service guarantees or product guarantees.

Future paid or private support

StreetKit may later offer paid or private support, such as implementation help, integration review, private deployment planning, managed index refresh support, or other commercial assistance.

Those options are not live automated plans unless explicitly documented. Scope, pricing, response times, deliverables, and support expectations must be agreed separately before any paid/private support commitment exists.

Data and product limitations

StreetKit v1 is not NZ Post delivery certification.

StreetKit v1 should not be presented as postal-delivery verification, DPID assignment, PO Box support, Private Bag support, postal-vs-physical matching, guaranteed address verification, or a delivery guarantee.

Sponsorship does not change these product and data limitations.
